We provide a comprehensive distribution service for businesses that choose to outsource their needs in this area, including a full pick and pack service.

Our service benefits from using a fully automated warehouse management system to control our client's stock, regularly reporting movements throughout the working day. We are equipped to receive client's information electronically and providing picking instructions are received before a mutually agreed deadline we can guarantee same day despatch. Using Amtrak as a national and international carrier you can track your goods online from anywhere in the world.

Stock lists are available to clients on request. Physical stock counts are undertaken on an annual or more regular basis to confirm the reliability of the underlying stock records.

This service can, and frequently is, utilised in conjunction with our extensive pre retailing facilities, whereby stock is labeled packed and despatched to exact retail specifications. Furthermore, we offer a unique remedial service, which specialises in the bulk inspection, rectification or modification of defective faulty stock. SPH are ideally placed for overseas companies wishing to trade within Europe, we currently operate on behalf of companies from the USA, Canada and Australia. We can take care of all your European sales order processing and distribution, initially it is not even essential for a company to set up offices within Europe.

Temporary Storage and Cross Docking

Alongside complete 3rd party distribution services temporary storage facilities are available to those companies who may experience short term problems with warehouse space. Whether it is for a week, a month or even a year SPH have the facility to handle purely bulk stock in bulk stock out, whether it be loose loaded containers, pallets or cartons, again using the same fully automated warehouse management system.

We also offer a cross docking service to companies who may not have the required resources to receive containers into their own warehouse. The contents of single or multiple containers are accepted, checked off, sorted and consolidated for immediate despatch to your own warehouse or alternatively direct to your client's warehouse ensuring that they reach their final destination in as short time as possible.

Non Pallet Storage

Our main warehouse is set up to receive, handle and store goods by the pallet but we do have other areas on site in which we can store goods of an unusual shape or size.

Bonded Storage

The entire SPH site in Bolton has a bonded warehouse status. Essentially if your goods are imported into the UK in bond then we will store your goods in bond for any length of time. The goods can then be shipped in bond to any country outside the EU or cleared for distribution within any part of the EU. Throughout this process SPH will deal with all the customs administration and transactions on behalf of a client. This allows your company to hold goods within the UK without immediately becoming liable to UK taxes.
